Resumen: Centrando su atención en la obra y actividades de los cantautores australianos Neil Murray, Shane Howard, Paul Kelly y la banda Midnight Oil, el presente artículo expone y explora la aportación de la música popular al proceso de reconciliación entre australianos indígenas y australianos de otros orígenes. A este respecto, observadas en su contexto sociopolítico las trayectorias de dichos músicos ofrecen comunes y abundantes elementos de estudio para considerar su participación en el citado proceso de reconciliación. Abstract: Focusing on the work and activities of the Australian songwriters Neil Murray, Shane Howard, Paul Kelly and the band Midnight Oil, this article presents and explores the contribution of popular music to the process of Reconciliation between indigenous and nonindigenous Australians. In respect of this, observing their socio-political context, the trajectories of these musicians offer common and abundant elements of study to consider their participation in the previously mentioned process of Reconciliation.
