Our database contains information for 50 moss species growing on uprooted trees. Within 160 uprooted trees, we collected data from 260 components (112 - root plates, 77 pits and 71 mounds). Our records were collected in four forest communities occurring in the Karkonosze Mts. (Sudetes, Poland). Uprooted trees were studied in square plots size 10 × 10 m. These plots were established using random-stratified sampling. Within the plot we studied one or more uprooted trees (max. 5 per plot). In addition, to obtain a similar number of uprooted trees in individual types of communities, randomly selected RPM complexes outside the study plots were studied. In the database for each component we attached information on: elevation, component size and age, tree canopy cover, plant community, species number and species cover.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
