Abstract

La educación es indispensable en el desarrollo integral del ser humano y por tanto de los pueblos. Tenemos aproximadamente dos millones de niños, niñas y adolescentes de América Latina y el Caribe están en riesgo de no regresar nunca a la escuela, una de los muchos efectos negativos del cierre de las Unidades Educativas por la pandemia de la Covid-19, esa es la realidad cuando estamos por finalizar el año 2020.El estudio que se viene desarrollando con la modalidad Educación en casa da cuenta de que están a punto de cumplirse siete meses de pausa prolongada para 125 millones de niños y adolescentes en toda Latinoamérica, que pueden abocar a un desastre intelectual, académico, llevando a la pobreza a muchas familias en el mediano y largo plazo. La educación abierta en Ecuador es una forma de educación escolarizada ordinaria, que desarrolla el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje sin exigir la asistencia regular de los estudiantes a la Institución Educativa. Por lo tanto demanda un proceso autónomo por parte de cada estudiante, con el acompañamiento, el seguimiento y la retroalimentación de uno o varios docentes o tutores de grado o curso. En nuestro país se podrá implementar en el subnivel de Educación Básica Superior y en el nivel de Bachillerato de manera permanente, de acuerdo con el contexto del estudiante, en Unidades Educativas de sostenimiento público, fiscomisional y particular del Sistema Nacional de Educación, a partir del año 2021.
