Physodeutera (Microlepidia) Rivalier, 1967 Physodeutera (Microlepidia) Rivalier, 1967: 268. Physodeutera (Microlepidia): Moravec 2002a: 80. Type species. Prothyma (Megalomma) centropunctata W. Horn, 1934 (by original designation). Seemingly heterogenous subgenus, comprising species with various body size and surface sculpture, but with majority of diagnosis characters congruent. Body large, medium-sized or small. Elytral surface shiny or partly velvet. Penultimate palpomere of labial palpi non- or only moderately dilated. Internal sack of aedeagus possesses ventral spur with aberrant, only rarely normally developed projection.Antennomere 4 not widely lobed, dilated only in Ph. (M.) virgulata (Fairmaire, 1903). Labrum sexually dimorphic in shape, except for Ph. (M.) propripenis sp. nov., and Ph. (M.) bucephala (W. Horn, 1900). Mentum with indistinct, short and subacute, rarely longer and acute central tooth.
