Abstract

El trabajo de investigación se lo realizó en la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo con el objetivo de obtener conocimientos sobre las principales plagas que se presentan en el cultivo de arveja que se siembra y producen en esta facultad e identificar cuáles son las principales insectos plagas que afectan al cultivo de arveja en esta zona agrícola de la provincia de los Ríos, identificar cuáles son los controles que se realizan. Dentro de los métodos generales que se aplicaron al estudio, a esta investigación se utilizaron los métodos deductivo e inductivo, debido que la hipótesis se plantearon y comprobaron en todo el desarrollo de la investigación con el propósito de llegar a las conclusiones y recomendaciones del trabajo. En la evaluación realizada en la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias se pudo conocer que la cantidad de plagas que afectan al cultivo de arveja entre las cuales se identificaron las siguientes: pulgón, minadores y comedores de hojas para lo cual se realizan medidas técnicas para poder controlarlas realizando todas las practicas fitosanitarias desde la evaluación en el campo por parte de los estudiantes junto con sus docentes hasta la selección de los insecticidas que se utilizaron en el momento que se presentó el daño de los insectos al cultivo. Es importante mencionar que se realiza un programa de los tipos de insecticidas que se utilizaran con la finalidad de evitar la resistencia de los insectos en el cultivo de arveja.
