Abstract

El artículo tiene por objetivo contrastar la ontología educativa freiriana con los lineamientos actuales de la pedagogía decolonial. Para lograr tal fin, el artículo considera tres aspectos fundamentales: el primero, plantea los elementos medulares de la educación liberadora de Paulo Freire, los cuales incluyen la ruptura con la concepción bancaria de la educación, el proceso humanizador de la pedagogía y la descodificación del mundo a través de las palabras. Seguidamente, se señalan los postulados críticos que, desde la pedagogía decolonial, se realizan a la obra de Freire. Finalmente, se postula la necesidad de orientar el saber hacia una reconfiguración epistémica otra, libre de los patrones eurocéntricos modernos.
