Grassland species cover, biomass and regrowth for clipping experiment across grassland plains of Nech Sar National Park, Ethiopia. Plant species composition, biomass and regrowth after clipping were measured every six months, both inside and outside herbivore exclosure in close proximity and further away from pastoral settlements. Biomass have sorted into three functional groups: grasses and sedges, ‘graminoids’ ; herbaceous dicotyledons,‘forbs’; and dwarf woody shrubs. Grassland species cover, biomass and regrowth been analysed in relation to proximity to pastoralist settlements, mainly tukuls (round-grass roofed buildings) identified using Google Earth Pro colour satellite images in 2012 and 2014. Settlement locations are provided for most accurate satellite imagery in 2014. The dataset has been used in a publication submitted to the journal Biotropica.
