This code zip is applied for the removal of thermal noise in the Sentinel-1 extra-wide swath data in cross-polarization (HV or VH). The code is the Matlab program of the paper: Sun, Yan and Li, Xiao-Ming (2020),"Denoising Sentinel-1 Extra-Wide mode cross-polarization images over sea ice" published by IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing. After testing the proposed method and the code for the Sentinel-1 SAR data processed by different IPF versions, its efficacy has been demonstrated.
The programming is an improvement of the methods published by Jeong-Won Park (2019 and 2020).
