Analysis for "the history of publishing delays" blog post v1.0

Abstract

This repository hosts the analysis for a blog post and part of a Nature News feature on scientific publishing delays. Acceptance (submission to acceptance) and publication (acceptance to online publication) delays are extracted from publisher-deposited PubMed data. Delays are analyzed for all articles over time and separately for each journal. Only journal articles published from 1960 to 2015 are considered.
