Se hace una breve descripción panorámica de los hechos fundamentales por los que atraviesa la historia de España y Portugal. Se explican los rasgos generales de la producción literaria española y portuguesa y se manifiesta la insuficiente gestión gubernamental para difundir de manera óptima la literatura portuguesa, incluyendo la de los países de lengua portuguesa. Se analizan los intercambios comerciales entre España y Portugal que han pasado de regímenes proteccionistas anteriores a un sistema aperturista y una integración mutua de buen entendimiento. Se apunta un futuro optimista en las relaciones hispano-lusas en los más diversos ámbitos culturales. It makes a short overview of basic facts by going through the history of Spain and Portugal. It explains the general features of Spanish and Portuguese literary production and management appears inadequate government to optimally disseminate Portuguese literature, including the Portuguese speaking countries.
