Ongoing and future surveys such as Euclid, WFIRST, and the Hobby Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX) will identify millions of galaxies based on the strengths of their emission lines. We are studying a sample of 2000 [O III]-emitting galaxies at z~2 in the CANDELS fields identified from the 3D-HST grism survey, 935 of which are also observed in the HETDEX survey, enabling a comparison between their rest-frame optical and Lyman-alpha emission properties. We use our newly-developed spectra energy distribution fitting code, MCSED, to estimate the physical properties of these galaxies. By stacking the 3D-HST and HETDEX spectra of these galaxies, we show that the Lyman-alpha escape fraction correlates with stellar mass, star formation rate, galaxy size, and dust content.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
