Abstract

protfasta is a simple, robust parser for working with FASTA files. It is pure python and has no external package dependencies other than Python language modules. This DOI represents the stable version (0.1.3) released in April 2020, and serves as a citable reference for protfasta. proftasta will be periodically updated with new features and bug fixes. Please check https://protfasta.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ for documentation on the most up-to-date version. How to cite protfasta: Please use this zenodo DOI and also reference the version used
