Abstract

Published as Diskussionsbeiträge der Scientists for Future 6 (1): 1-14. This is version 1.0 (German version), first published 28. Jan. 2021. An English translation is available as version 1.1, doi: 10.5281/zenodo.4536573, published 12. Feb. 2021. Erdgas ist keine Brückentechnologie in eine fossilfreie Zukunft. Die Annahme einer im Vergleich zur Kohle günstigeren Klimabilanz von Erdgas muss revidiert werden. Der geplante Ausbau von Erdgas-Infrastruktur in Deutschland lässt sich nicht klimapolitisch begründen und birgt zahlreiche finanzielle Risiken. Zudem wird damit die geplante Energiewende verzögert.
