Il contributo è dedicato all’analisi di un registro nel quale sono raccolti i procedimenti di giu-stizia criminale a Savona nel 1250. Il liber maleficiorum, benché edito nel 1956, non era stato ancora oggetto di studio dal punto di vista paleografico e diplomatistico. L’esame del codice ha consentito così di identificare gli scribi ad maleficia che l’hanno redatto attraverso il con-fronto con il materiale archivistico sopravissuto del Comune medievale e di indagare sulle tec-niche redazionali poste in essere.

The article analyses a register which contains the proceedings, dated 1250, of the criminal court of Savona. Although the liber maleficiorum has been edited in 1956, it has not yet been object of a paleographic and diplomatistic study. The analysis of the codex has enabled, on the one hand to identify the scribes ad maleficia who wrote it through comparison with the extant archival material of the medieval Commune, and on the other to investigate the writ-ing techniques used.
