El tratamiento de ser/estar en las primeras gramáticas del español para francófonos

Abstract

El presente estudio se centra en la cuestión, clásica si las hay en la enseñanza del español a extranjeros, del contraste entre los verbos ser y estar, examinada a partir de un corpus constituido por unos catorce tratados gramaticales destinados a aprendientes francófonos y publicados entre 1596 (La nouvelle Méthode de N. Charpentier) y 1697 (primera edición de la Nouvelle grammaire espagnolle de F. Sobrino). Se muestra que los tratamientos propuestos por cuatro autores (Charpentier, Oudin, Encarnación, Lancelot) son los que destacan por su originalidad, y se caracterizan por una tendencia marcada a fundamentar el contraste sobre rasgos antitéticos que permiten otorgar a cada miembro de la pareja verbal un significado propio y exclusivo. Se formula la hipótesis de que el tipo de acercamiento anteriormente aludido está relacionado con unas necesidades didácticas específicas.
