Broscosoma zhengyuandongi Jiang, Feng & Wang, sp. nov. ¬Ę珠+· Figs. 3–4 Type material (5 specimens, 2 ♂♂, 3 ♀♀). Holotype: CHINA: ♂, labelled ‘ China: Fujian Province (Ḭıt), Longyan City (łxm), Xinluo District (Ɨ,ss), Jiangshan Township (I± Þ), Huanglianymeng Mountain (黄 Ɩĸ±), elevation 900 m, 12.II.2018, Yuan-Dong Zheng leg.’ (SCAU). Paratype: 1 ♂, 3 ♀♀, same label data as the holotype (SCAU). Diagnosis. Body shiny, dark brown, legs, labrum, palpi and antennae brown. Frontal grooves irregular and impunctate, labrum with six setigerous punctures, clypeus with two setigerous punctures. Pronotum global, with a pair of setigerous punctures. Elytra with eight distinct deep striae, shoulders largely rounded, each elytrum with two setigerous punctures at base, and two setigerous punctures near apex. Description. Male body (Fig. 3A) dark brown, slender and obviously convex, dorsal surface much shiny. Head (Fig. 3B), wider than long, convex, dorsal surface shiny, without punctures, frontal grooves irregular and impunctate. Labrum nearly rectangular, with six setigerous punctures and slightly emarginate at apical margin. Apical margin of clypeus slightly emarginate with two setigerous punctures. Eyes large, supraorbital setae located at hind level of eyes. Antenna (Fig. 4A) longer than the combination of head and pronotum. Antennomeres I–IV glabrous, V–XI densely pubescent. Pronotum (Fig. 3B) globose, obviously convex, slightly longer than wide, widest at slightly anterior middle, equally constricted at anterior and basal margins, dorsal surface shiny without punctures. Median longitudinal impression and anterior impression shallow but distinct. One pair of setigerous punctures located at anterior middle of lateral margin of pronotum. Elytra (Fig. 4B) longer than wide, strongly convex, dorsal surface shiny, each elytron with eight distinct deep striae. Scutellum nearly triangular, small. Shoulders largely rounded, narrow. Each elytron with four setigerous punctures, two located at base and other two near apex. Inner setigerous punctures of basal elytra located near base of stria II; the outer puncture located at the shoulder; inner apical setigerous punctures located near apex of stria II, outer puncture located at apex of stria V. Legs simple, glabrous, only tibial apex with few thin setae, protarsomeres slightly dilated. Median lobe of aedeagus (Fig. 4C) simple, ending in a rounded tip; right paramere (Fig. 4E) arcuate, rounded at apex, with dense long hairs along apical margin; left paramere (Fig. 4D) expanded at middle and narrowed at apex, apex without hairs. Measurements (mm). BL 7.38–7.95; HL 1.08–1.25, HW 1.50–1.55; PL 2.30–2.50, PW 1.78–1.90; EL 4.004.20, EW 2.80–3.05. Female (Fig. 4F) similar to male, with ovipositor smooth and arched, apex of ovipositor with two setae. Measurements (mm). BL 7.93–8.20; HL 1.18–1.30, HW 1.63–1.68; PL 2.45–2.50, PW 2.18–2.20; EL 4.254.45, EW 3.20–3.30. Distribution. China: Fujian Province. Biological notes. All adults were collected on the lower surface of a damp cliff at night. Etymology. This species is named in honor of Mr. Yuan-Dong Zheng (Fujian, China), who collected the type series of this new species and donated those specimens to us for study. Remarks. The new species is quite similar to B. xuhaoi sp. nov.; the two species share similar habitus characters, such as the dark brown body and each elytron has eight distinct striae. However, B. zhengyuandongi sp. nov. can be easily distinguished from B. xuhaoi sp. nov. by the following characters: 1) striae on the elytra deeper; 2) clypeus with only two setigerous punctures; 3) left paramere of aedeagus without hairs at apex; 4) right paramere of aedeagus not expanded near apex.
