Abstract

Busto Zapico, M. (2015). [Potteries from Talavera de la Reina (Toledo, Spain) have had a great influence in many productions, not only within the Iberian Peninsula, but through the World. In the sixteenth century, Talavera will become a major production center of majolica ware. It was on the aesthetic vanguard of peninsular productions with its new decorations. As a result of the influence of potteries from Talavera de la Reina, in Mexico arose a new ceramic known as talaveras. These pieces are a consequence of the stylistic streams that converge on the American continent, ranging from China to Europe. One of the production centers of these majolica ware will be the state of Puebla in Mexico.]
