Fluxes calculated using standardised approach: \(F\text{CO}_2=K_0 \cdot K_w \cdot (p\text{CO}_2^\text{sea} - p\text{CO}_2^\text{atm})\ \cdot (1 - [ice])\). We provide each of the components to this equation to reduce the potential for errors in fluxes due to methodological differences. \(p\text{CO}_2^\text{sea}\) (spCO2filled) is filled using a temporally scaled version of the Landschützer et al. (2020) climatology. \(K_0\) (solWeis1974) is calculated using the Weiss (1974) parameterization with EN4 salinity and OISST temperatures \(p\text{CO}_2^\text{atm}\) (pCO2atm) is calculated from NOAA's marine boundary layer product with ERA5 mean sea level pressure corrected for pH2O \([ice]\) (icefrac) is the ice fraction from the OISST product \(k_w\) (kwScaled16.5) is calculated for CCMPv2, JRA55, ERA5, NCEP1 and NCEP2 winds with each being scaled independently to 14-C bomb flux estimate of 16.5 cm/hr using the quadratic formulation by Wanninkhof (1992) Finally, we also provide data as the product of \(k_w \cdot K_0 \cdot [1 - ice]\) for each wind product (sf_prod_WIND), so that less data has to be downloaded. There is an accompanying function to calculate fluxes.
version 2021.01b: removed `sfprod` files and added explicit filling file (SeaFluxV2021.01_spco2_clim_scaled_1988-2018.nc)
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
