Hydrochus argutus Knisch Hydrochus argutus Knisch 1921: 3 Hydrochus johannapietersenae Makhan 1995; Oliva (1996); Perkins (2019a) Originally described from southern Brazil, the following specimen records are from Ecuador. Images of the male genitalia and the lectotype habitus are given in Perkins (2019a). Material examined (8): Ecuador: Napo, Limoncocha, (1°33’S, 75°35’W), 11.vi.1977, leg. P. J. Spangler & D. R. Givens (115) (7 NMNH); same locality, 14.vi.1977, leg. W. E. Steiner (1 NMNH).
