Abstract

Horniolus vietnamicus Miyatake, 1976 Figs. 1E, 3 K–N Specimen examined. W MALAYSIA: Kelantan, 800m a.s.l., 30km S of Jeli Gunung Jual Kampong Timor, 4– 5.10.2018. leg. Petr Čechovsky, male (JVC). Remarks. Miyatake (1976) described this species from South Vietnam (Dalat). Here we present a new record from North West Malaysia. Our specimen possesses slightly different coloration than in original description: its pronotum is entirely black and the posterior elytral maculae are more transverse, whereas the holotype as drawn by Miyatake (1976) has a broad pale band at the anterior margin and the posterior elytral macula is more oval.
