Centris scutellosa Friese, 1924 Centris fusciventris scutellosa Friese, 1924: 22. Type data: This species was described from a single male collected in an undetermined locality in Bolivia. Unfortunately, the type specimen was not found during the development of this article. However, in the AMNH there is a female identified by Friese as C. fusciventris scutellosa collected in Guayaquil, Ecuador which corresponds to C. mocsaryi. If the type specimen and the female identified by Friese are conspecific, then C. scutellosa must be a junior synonym of the latter species. Type locality: Bolivia.
