Conyza squarrosa Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 861. 1753. "Habitat in Germaniae, Belgii, Angliae, Galliae siccis." RCN: 6217. Lectotype (Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 145: 92. 1980): Herb. Clifford: 405, Conyza 2 (BM-000647042). Generitype of Conyza Linnaeus, nom. rej. Current name: Inula conyzae (Griess.) Meikle (Asteraceae). Note: Conyza Linnaeus, nom. rej. in favour of Conyza Less.
