Trichalphus Bates, 1881 (Fig. 37) Trichalphus Bates, 1881: 153. Type species — Trichalphus pilosus Bates, 1881 (original designation). Diagnosis. Antennae densely pilose; prothorax with obtuse tubercle after middle; pronotum tuberculate; elytra with pilose centrobasal crest, surface multicarinate; femora abruptly clavate, with abundant long erect setae; basal metatarsomere shorter than the following two together. Number of species currently included: 1 (Mexico, Central America).
