Abstract of the paper: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased both journalists’ use of science in their reporting and the public’s interest in science-related news. This is what stands out of a computational analysis of articles and Facebook posts of French-language media in Canada. The representation of science by the media has also changed during the pandemic: science’s role as a guide to governments has come into the limelight.
