This article describes the development and the results obtained by KEOMA, a robot of low cost, applicable as an alternative to platforms used in educational robotics nowadays, making the robotics more and more accessible to all, reducing the complexity in building and facilitating the programming. KEOMA is a tool of acquirement of new knowledge, an efficient way to contextualize the learned contents in classroom with something ludic and totally applicable. A key aspect is the reuse of electronic components and the recycling of other materials in its construction. Another important aspect is the use of Open Source/Hardware technology Arduino for reading sensors, controlling actuators, and perform communication with Bluetooth devices, allowing KEOMA to become programmed and controlled remotely via computers, smartphones and tablets. This work also presents a case study in which the results are presented before and after using KEOMA on learning in the programming concepts, by the students of Science and Technology of the University of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN) and confirm their acceptance as a ludic educational tool, encouraging the active participation of students in the concept and real problem solving with KEOMA support.
