The genera are re-evaluated on the basis of morphological characters, with emphasis on the external genitalia of both sexes. The monotypic genus Arotrocoris Berg, 1894 is considered a junior synonym of Curatia Stål, 1864 due to the identity of Arotrocoris dentifer Berg, 1894 with Curatia denticornis Stål, 1864. Two new brazilian species were added to Curatia: C. cornuta from Santa Catarina and C. parva from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Since the differences between C. denticornis, type species of the genus Curatia, and C. truncaticornis Stål, 1864 are at generic level, the genus Copeocoris Mayr, 1866, considered a junior synonym of Curatia, is reinstated to accomodate Copeocoris truncaticornis, comb. n.
