A new genus of Pentatomini is proposed to include seven species formerly belonging to Tibilis Stal (one of them revalidated), as well as seven new species. Neotibilis, gen. n., is divided in two subgenera - Neotibilis, s.str. and Laeviscutis, subg. n.. The first subgenus includes N. (N.) biguttata (Walker, 1868), revalidated, (comb. n.), N. (N.) costaricensis, sp. n., N. (N.) fulvicornis (Walker, 1867), (comb. n., type species), N. (N.) mexicana, sp. n., N. (N.) panamensis, sp. n. and N. (N.) parva (Distant, 1893), (comb. n.). Laeviscutis includes N. (L.) boliviana, sp. n., N. (N.) compascens (Bergroth, 1914), (comb. n.), N. (L.) laeviventris (Bergroth, 1914), (comb. n.), N. (L.) lata, sp. n., N. (L.) mourei, sp. n., N. (L.) oculata, (com. n.), N. (L.) peruana, sp. n., and N. (L.) piceola (Walker, 1868), (comb. n.). Illustrations, keys and maps of geographic distribution are provided.
