RESUMEN: En la perspectiva de aportar a la construcción de una visión histórica más integral de las relaciones de la Biblioteca públicas con la sociedad Latinoamericana, este trabajo presenta una revisión preliminar del discurso bibliotecario sobre la lectura construido durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX, con especial énfasis en Colombia. Para ello estudia el discurso “oficial” de la biblioteca, esto es, los manifiestos, declaraciones, recomendaciones y otros textos producidos en los eventos bibliotecarios de mayor impacto regional.
ABSTARCT:In the perspectiva of adopting the construction of a new more integral historic vision of the Public Library relationship with the Latin America society, it is showedhere a preliminary revision of the speech related with library science about reading constructed along the second half of the XX century, with special emphasis in Colombia. With that propose, studies the “official” speech of the library, this is, the manifests, declarations, recommendations and others produced text on more regional impact library kind events.
