Atitudinile sunt un mobil fundamental al compor-tamentului uman şi, deseori, cauza lui directă, iar, în consecinţă, un element central în lanţul determinativ al conduitei omului. Atitudinile determină orientarea comportamentului, îi conferă sens. Iată de ce, cunoaşterea profundă şi multila-terală a fenomenului atitudinilor dezleagă vaste posibilităţi de a înţelege ființa umană și comportamentul său și constituie un instrument important de elucidare a problemelor explorate
