This work presents design and implementation of ultrasonic sensor water level control pumping machine. This pumping machine used microcontroller to control the process of water pumping in the tank and has the ability to detect the level of water in the tank, switch ON or OFF the pump operation accordingly and display the status on LCD (liquid crystal display) readout. Ultrasonic sensor is used to monitor the water level in the tank instead of wire or pipe which can contaminate the water in the tank. When the tank is full the pump is switched OFF automatically without human intervention or buzz sound notification. Immediately the water level in the tank is reduced through usage the pump is switched ON automatically and the process continues as the power source in the mains is switched ON. Human controls associated with pump monitoring are reduced thereby enhancing the performance and life span of the pump.
