In this article the author gives a creative and critical appreciation of the Papal Address a t the University of Regensburg on “Faith, Reason and the University”. After study- ing the various reactions to the talks, especially from the Mus- lims, the author respectfully shares some of his reflections on the Address of the Pope, and deals with the issue of seculariza- tion. This analysis and the reflections are offered with frank ness, honesty and respect, as part of the “dialogue of cultures” and religions, to which Benedict XVI invited us, in the last para graph of his address a t the University of Regensburg and in his subsequent apology, and for which he has since been repeatedly calling.
