Abstract

K3 steht für Kooperation, Kommunikation und InformationsKompetenz und ist ein von der Konstanzer Informationswissenschaft initiiertes Projekt. K3 soll einen Beitrag zur Überwindung der gravierenden Informations-kompetenzdefizite leisten, wie sie bei Studierenden durch die vom BMBF veranlasste Studie „Nutzung elektronischer wissenschaftlicher Informationen in der Hochschulausbildung“ (http://www.stefi.de/) festgestellt wurden. K3 ist ein auf offenen Entwicklungsprinzipien beruhendes Softwaresystem, das in der Ausbildung eingesetzt wird. K3 will die Informationskompetenz von Studierenden durch den Aufbau lehrebezogener individueller und kooperativer Wissensplattformen befördern, einen konzeptionellen und organisatorischen Rahmen für ein hochschul- bzw. ausbildungsspezifisches Wissensmanagement schaffen, in dem kooperative verteilte Formen der Produktion und der Aneignung von konzeptorientiertem Wissen unter Berücksichtung verteilter Informationsressourcen entwickelt werden können. Von K3 wird nun, nach etwas mehr als einem Jahr Konzeption, die erste Softwareversion implementiert. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Systemarchitektur, die Benutzerschnittstelle, die Kommunikations-komponente, die Werkzeuge zur Bildung von Informationskompetenz und das immaterielle Anreizsystem von K3.
