Abdeckung erziehungswissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften in Google Scholar

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht den Abdeckungsgrad erziehungswissenschaftlicher Fachzeitschriften in Google Scholar und verdeutlicht, inwieweit die Nutzung des kostenlosen Suchdienstes für diese Disziplin sinnvoll ist. Insgesamt wurden 712 Artikel aus sechs ausgewählten Fachzeitschriften der Erziehungswissenschaft überprüft. Als Ergebnis kann festgehalten werden, dass Google Scholar vor allem aufgrund eines mangelhaften Abdeckungsgrades (noch) keine ernsthafte Alternative zu herkömmlichen Fachdatenbanken darstellt.
