Curadoria do digital : estudos de processos curatoriais da arte amparados por tecnologias inteligentes

Abstract

Com os avanços da indústria computacional, questões referentes à classificação, organização e recuperação da informação tornam-se parte dos novos desafios para as áreas que lidam com as tecnologias da informação. Sendo assim, este estudo tem como proposta explorar novas possibilidades de curadorias digitais que utilizam de artifícios baseados em Inteligência Artificial para se pensar as atividades relacionadas a curadoria em arte. Serão abordadas práticas de curadorias em contexto artístico, informacional e digital. Posteriormente, serão analisadas duas abordagens computacionais que amparam o conceito de “Computação Cognitiva”, sendo elas: a aprendizagem de máquina (machine learning) e aprendizagem profunda (deep learning). Foram realizados três estudos de caso de propostas curatoriais artísticas que utilizam curadorias digitais amparadas por tecnologias de inteligência artificial. A pesquisa também concentra uma proposta experimental inicial em curadoria digital que teve como intenção extrair dados e informações a partir de quatro obras do pintor modernista brasileiro Alberto da Veiga Guignard através de abordagens de machine learning e deep learning. With advances in the computing industry, issues of classification, organization and information retrieval become part of the new challenges for areas dealing with information technology. Thus, this study aims to explore new possibilities of digital curatorship based on Artificial Intelligence to think about the activities related to art curation. Curatorial practices will be approached in an artistic, informational and digital context. Later, two computational approaches that support the concept of "Cognitive Computing" will be analyzed, they are: machine learning and deep learning. There will be three case studies of artistic curatorial proposals that use digital curators supported by artificial intelligence technologies. The study also concentrates an experimental initial proposal in digital curatorship that intends to extract data and information from four works of art of the Brazilian modernist painter Alberto da Veiga Guignard, through machine learning and deep learning approaches.
