Análisis de costo del tratamiento de los trastornos del estado de ánimo en Colombia

Abstract

Resumen Objetivos: Comparar los costos de las intervenciones clínicas para el tratamiento de los trastornos bipolares y depresión incluidas en el Plan de Beneficios en Salud (POS) de 2019 y tratamiento psicoterapéutico, sumado al costo por recaídas y efectos secundarios de los tratamientos medicamentosos. Materiales y métodos: Se trabajó con evidencias internacionales en el tratamiento de la depresión y trastorno bipolar, revisiones de las evidencias científicas, meta-análisis (revisiones sistemáticas y ensayos clínicos), encontradas en bases de datos (Cochrane, NCBI, Pubmed/Medline, Scielo Public Health, Redalyc.org, DOAJ), publicadas desde el 2007 hasta el 2018 (la calidad de los artículos se hace bajo los lineamientos del SIGN, Sistema de Evaluación Científica) Materola & Zavando (2009). Resultados: La tecnología disponible más favorable para el tratamiento de la Depresión y el Trastorno Bipolar en Colombia es la intervención psicoterapéutica generando una mejor calidad de vida y bienestar, en casos graves, se requiere de dosis mínima de medicamento como factor adherente al tratamiento psicológico durante la fase crítica. Conclusiones: Se requiere más investigación rigurosa y sistemática que permita evaluar la efectividad de las modalidades diferentes a la psicoterapia cognitivo-conductual y psicoanálisis. Respecto al tratamiento farmacológico, se encuentra un sinnúmero de efectos adversos y secundarios asociados a los medicamentos que terminan deteriorando a mediano y largo plazo la salud y calidad de vida de los sujetos diagnosticados con depresión y trastorno bipolar.
