Comprensión lectora en escolares de grado primero del municipio de Villavicencio

Abstract

Resumen Objetivos: Describir la compresión lectora de escolares del grado primero de básica primaria del municipio de Villavicencio. Materiales y métodos: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal. Participaron 47 estudiantes de grado primero de básica primaria de una Institución Educativa del municipio de Villavicencio, a quienes se les aplicó la batería PROLEC-R para identificar los niveles de los procesos llevados a cabo en la comprensión lectora. La sistematización de datos se apoyó en el uso del software estadístico SPSS versión 23, utilizando parámetros de estadística descriptiva como frecuencias absolutas, gráficas porcentuales, para cada prueba (analizando las correspondientes subpruebas). Resultados: En promedio una leve mayoría de los participantes poseen niveles normales en los procesos de comprensión lectora, siendo los procesos léxicos donde mayormente se presentan dificultades leves (41.5% en promedio), y en los procesos sintácticos donde se registraron mayores dificultades severas (38.3% en promedio). Conclusiones: En consideración a los resultados se diseñó una estrategia pedagógica para mitigar la problemática evidenciada, previendo la articulación con la asignatura de Lengua Castellana y con el Programa Todos a Aprender.
