Wie befördern NFDI und EOSC einen kulturellen Wandel für eine offene Wissenschaft?

Abstract

Welche Rolle spielen Aspekte einer offenen Wissenschaft bei der Ausgestaltung datengetriebener Infrastruktur-Initiativen, wie der Nationalen Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) auf der einen und der European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) auf der anderen Seite? Mit der NFDI soll in Deutschland ein digitaler Wissensspeicher Forschungsdaten entstehen, der dezentral und häufig voneinander isolierte Datenbestände miteinander vernetzen und nachhaltig sichern, sowie nutzbar machen wird. Die NFDI wird als nationaler Beitrag aus Deutschland für die EOSC gesehen, während die EOSC konzeptionell durch Aspekte des "Open Science" breiter aufgestellt ist. Als wachsende europaweite und von der Europäischen Union unterstützte Infrastruktur wird die EOSC in den kommenden Monaten und Jahren zu einem größeren Spieler auf dem Feld der Open Science und den meisten Wissenschaftler*innen und Mitarbeiter*innen von Infrastruktureinrichtungen wie Hochschulbibliotheken im Alltag begegnen. Vor diesem Hintergrund skizziert der Vortrag Ansätze für eine offene Wissenschaft in ausgewählten NFDI-Konsortien auf nationaler Ebene und vergleicht sie mit den Zielen und Aktivitäten auf europäischer Ebene in den EU-Projekten und Initiativen EOSC-Pillar [1] und OpenAIRE. EOSC-Pillar koordiniert nationale Initiativen in Belgien, Deutschland, Italien, Frankreich und Österreich, um den Aufbau einer Open-Science- und FAIR-datenbasierten European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) zu unterstützen. Wie können sich diese Initiativen ergänzen und unterstützen und welche Rolle kann OpenAIRE dabei spielen, um einen kulturellen Wandel zu befördern, sodass z.B. offen geteilte und den FAIR-Prinzipien folgende Forschungsdaten einen ähnlichen Stellenwert erreichen, wie qualitätsgeprüfte Open-Access-Publikationen?
