Abstract

Das vom Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (MKW NRW) über die Digitale Hochschule NRW (DH.NRW) geförderte Vorprojekt openaccess.nrw startete am 1. Oktober 2019. Bis Ende des Jahres 2020 untersucht ein Konsortium aus drei Universitäten (Bielefeld, Duisburg-Essen, Siegen), zwei Fachhochschulen (FH Bielefeld, TH Köln) und dem Hochschulbibliothekszentrum des Landes NRW (hbz) die Servicebedarfe der NRW-Hochschulen im Bereich Open Access. Die Hochschulbibliothek der FH Bielefeld koordiniert das Projekt. openaccess.nrw zielt darauf ab, die Voraussetzungen, Bedarfe und Umsetzungsoptionen für die Implementierung einer landesweiten digitalen Servicestruktur der NRW-Hochschulen und des hbz im Bereich Open Access zu klären. Anhand qualitativer und quantitativer Erhebungen wird beleuchtet, welche Open-Access-Services im NRW-Hochschulbereich bereits vorhanden sind und wie diese genutzt werden. Aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen der Erhebungen werden in einem zweiten Schritt Empfehlungen für ein Portfolio zentral oder dezentral bereitzustellender Services erarbeitet. Diese können (technische) Infrastrukturservices ebenso umfassen wie Dienstleistungen im Bereich Information, Beratung und Qualifizierung. Auf diesem Poster werden die Kernfragen, die Zielsetzung und die Meilensteine dieses Vorprojekts dargestellt.
