Technological and functional efficiency of rescue and high–altitude rescue work at different technological and functional stages is directly dependent on the level of their professional and physical training. According to the regulations, the implementation of training exercises for the training of emergency services, assessment of the training of rescue units is carried out by a five–point system, which is based on time indicators. At the same time, the issue of expanding assessment approaches in order to optimize it remains relevant, as it is problematic to compare different technological and functional training exercises. The purpose is to determine the indices of readiness of groups (departments) of mining rescue works and groups of high–altitude climbing and rescue works on the basis of preliminary researches of norms of performance of educational exercises for preparation of personnel of emergency rescue services. An empirical research method was used to solve the problem. The method used in the article makes it possible to determine the level of preparation of groups (departments) of rescue work and groups of high–altitude climbing and rescue work. As a result of the study, preparedness indices for groups (departments) of rescue (emergency) rescue works were determined – 9 training exercises and groups of high–altitude climbing and rescue works. – 10 training exercises. The preparedness indices determined by the authors can be used during the analysis of organizational and functional efficiency in the preparation of groups (departments) of rescue (emergency) work and groups of high–altitude climbing and rescue work. This, in turn, can positively affect the quality of control and management in the training of personnel of emergency services.
