This document seeks to explore environmental justice related to air pollution across the ClairCity case study cities and regions. The report contains a review of relevant literature on environmental justice and, where suitable data is available, an assessment of the ClairCity spatial data on air quality emissions, concentrations and indicators of socio-economic status. The primary aim is to assess the degree to which those citizens subjected to the worst impacts of air pollution are themselves responsible for the greatest emissions. The secondary aim is to explore the technical feasibility of undertaking environment justice studies at the city scale and provide recommendations for other cities.
