Natureza e Patrimônio: os valores culturais do fragmento florestal do Parque Estadual Dois Irmãos e do Refúgio de Vida Silvestre Mata do Engenho Uchôa (Pernambuco)

Abstract

Objetiva-se com o presente artigo a identificação dos valores culturais atribuídos aos bens naturais. Como objeto empírico analisa-se as Unidades de Conservação (UC) do Recife - Parque Estadual Dois Irmãos e Refúgio de Vida Silvestre Mata do Engenho Uchôa - sob a referência dos conceitos de significância natural e cultural, cuja definição parte dos princípios das Cartas Patrimoniais. A significância cultural é declarada pela Burra Charter como o conjunto de valores estético, históricos, científicos ou social de um bem a ser preservado para as gerações passadas, presentes e futuras. Enquanto que a significância natural está relacionada com os ecossistemas, biodiversidade e geodiversidade por seu valor de existência, conforme a Australian Natural Heritage Charter. Os valores das UC’s foram identificados por meio do método Análise de Conteúdo aplicado tanto aos depoimentos obtidos por meio de entrevistas a distintos atores, levando em consideração que, para a construção da significância do patrimônio que venha a amparar instrumentos de gestão da conservação, deve-se buscar o levantamento das relações sócioespaciais e culturais de todos os atores relacionados com o bem (moradores, gestores e especialistas), como no texto dos planos de manejos das UC’s. Desta forma, checou-se aos seguintes valores culturais: (1) Serviços da Natureza; (2) Científico; (3) Estético; (4) Polissensorial; (5) Espiritual e (6) Histórico.
