The geophysical prospections in Liternum provided numerous insights into the urban organization of the site. Structures were detected beneath the basilica and parallel to it, probably stemming from the time of the formation of the colony. Moreover, the residential quarters were discovered directly north of the forum, limited by two road axes. One of the roads crossing the forum has been recognized as extension of the via Domitiana in the urban area. The other road runs however west of the forum, directly alongside its buildings.
