Abstract

L’innovation est depuis longtemps considérée comme l’élément clé de la survie, de la croissance et du développement des petites et moyennes entreprises informelles en générale et des ateliers d’ajustage et de menuiserie en particulier. L’objectif de ce papier est de rassembler et d’étudier les différents déterminants qui peuvent expliquer l’innovation de produits dans les ateliers d’ajustage et de menuiserie à Bukavu en République Démocratique du Congo. Notre choix a porté sur les ateliers d’ajustage et de menuiserie du fait qu’ils sont les plus habiles à innover afin de répondre à des objectifs de croissance et de développement ainsi que de compétitivité. Pour atteindre notre objectif, 95 ateliers d’ajustage et de menuiserie ont constitué notre échantillon d’étude. La régression logistique a été utilisée pour analyser les données. A l’issu de cette analyse, les résultats obtenus via le logiciel Eviews 3.1 nous ont montré que l’innovation de produits est influencée positivement par la taille de l’entreprise et la pression concurrentielle de marché extérieur et intérieur au seuil de signification de 1%.
