Buprestis 8-guttata Linnaeus, 1758, spec. nov.

Abstract

Buprestis 8-guttata [spec. nov.] B. elytris fastigiatis muticis maculis quatuor albis, corpore caeruleo. Habitat in Oceano ad Norvegiam. Magnitudine cedit nostratibus majoribus. Antennae nigrae longitudine thoracis. Caput nigrum aut caeruleum, lineola alba ante oculos. Thorax niger aut caeruleus margine albo. Elytra nigra aut caerulea striata, obtusissima, maculis octo albis longitudinaliter digestis. Abdomen caeruleum cum linea alba utrinque versus basin transversa, & in singulo segmento utrinque par punctorum alborum, ut sint sub abdomine maculae 18 albae. Pedes caerulei cum puncto albo in femoribus quatuor posterioribus. Variat colore caeruleo, nigro, aureo absque vel cum maculis. * * Elytris versus apicem serratis.
