PEMAKAIAN JENIS DAN FUNGSI KALIMAT DALAM MENENTUKAN KUALITAS KARANGAN NARASI PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 7 DENPASAR

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) jenis kalimat yang digunakan untuk membangun karangan narasi dan (2) kualitas karangan narasi ditinjau dari pemakaian jenis dan fungsi kalimat pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) jenis kalimat yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam karangan narasi lebih didominasi oleh kalimat tunggal, yaitu sebanyak 208 kalimat. (2) Kualitas karangan narasi siswa kelas X6 dan X7 di SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar ditinjau dari pemakaian jenis dan fungsi kalimat tergolong dalam kategori baik, yaitu sebesar 82,21. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas karangan narasi siswa tergolong dalam kategori baik. Hal itu terlihat pada jenis kalimat yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam membentuk karangan narasi.
