Abstract

Genus Fissocantharis Pic, 1921 Fissocantharis Pic, 1921a: 27. Cephalomalthinus Pic, 1921b: 5. Fissopodabrus Pic, 1927: 2. Kandyosilis Pic, 1929: 70. Rhagonycha (Harmonycha) Wittmer, 1938: 302. Javaesilis Pic, 1955: 7. Stenopodabrus Nakane, 1992: 78. Diagnosis Body small to middle-sized, elongate. Eyes moderately or strongly protruding in male, weakly or moderately in female. Antennae filiform, often present with narrow longitudinal grooves or more or less deformed on middle antennomeres in male, while simple in female. Pronotum subquadrate, subparallelsided or slightly widened posteriorly, anterior margin narrower or as wide as head width across eyes. Legs with all tarsal claws bifid or having triangular basal appendicles in both sexes. Aedeagus: elongate, dorsal plates of parameres conjoint, laterophyses absent. Female genitalia: vagina stout, always abruptly thinned and extended into a slightly long duct at ventroapical portion; diverticulum and spermathecal duct arising from the end of the duct of vagina; diverticulum thin and spiral-tubed, spermatheca composed of one thin and spiral tube; median oviduct always situated in middle of vagina.
