Euschoengastia aethomyia – Wharton & Fuller 1952: 73. — Zumpt 1961: 161. Herpetacarus (Abonnencia) aethomys – Vercammen-Grandjean 1965c: 87. — Vercammen-Grandjean 1966: 641, pl. O1. Holotype BMNH 1946.12.18.3. Material revised Holotype (the slide includes two specimens, without any mark). Distribution South Africa (Bathurst). Host Micaelamys namaquensis.
