Evaluación del impacto del vertimiento de aguas residuales en la calidad del río Ventilla, Amazonas

Abstract

En los últimos años, los cambios en las actividades humanas en el distrito de Molinopampa han repercutido negativamente en la calidad del río Ventilla, el cual atraviesa el propio distrito. La presente investigación se centró en el estudio de los parámetros microbiológicos (bacteriológicos), tales como coliformes totales (CT), coliformes fecales (CF), Escherichia coli (EC), y enterococos fecales (EF), en el agua del río Ventilla a su paso por la zona con mayor actividad ganadera, que además cuenta con la presencia de una laguna de oxidación para el tratamiento de aguas residuales. Se establecieron tres puntos de muestreo, realizando tres repeticiones del análisis del agua en cada punto. Los resultados arrojaron la presencia de grandes concentraciones de estas bacterias en el agua, provocadas por la descarga de las aguas residuales de la laguna de oxidación de dicha localidad, el pastoreo y el consecuente vertido de desechos fecales del propio ganado vacuno en las riberas del río, a lo largo de las tres estaciones de muestreo.
