Abstract

On trouve aujourd’hui peu de recherches sur la question du travail personnel quotidien effectué par l’élève musicien, alors qu’une littérature importante concernant les devoirs dans le cadre scolaire a été développée depuis les années 1950. Cet élément paraît pourtant essentiel dans le processus d’apprentissage de la musique ; il semble également complexe à appréhender de la part de l’enseignant qui, par définition, n’est pas physiquement présent pour accompagner l’apprenant dans sa pratique instrumentale réalisée en son absence et hors les murs de l’établissement d’enseignement artistique spécialisé. Ce travail de recherche se donne pour but, outre de définir les tenants et les aboutissants du travail personnel quotidien de l’apprenti-musicien, de questionner le rôle du professeur en termes de didactique et de pédagogie afin d’encourager et de favoriser une pratique instrumentale à la maison qui puisse être efficace à moyen et long termes et le rende véritablement acteur de son apprentissage.
