Abstract

English Ichthyofauna monitoring data collected on April 26th to May 4th, 2019 in Cayo Arcas reef, southern Gulf of Mexico. Were sampled 15 sites with depths between 2.0-10.5 m. At each site, the monitoring was made with two transects of 25 x 4 m. An area of 3,400 m2 was covered. A total of 4,558 fish were registered, corresponding to 26 families and 75 species (this count includes the species of invasive damsel Neopomacentrus cyanomos). This is part of BDMY (Biodiversidad Marina de Yucatan) lab research. Acknowledgments: Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Se registraron un total de 4,558 peces, que corresponden a 26 familias y 75 especies (dicha cuenta incluye a la especie de damisela invasora Neopomacentrus cyanomos).
